“I love my lot, but the house is just too small”

“We love where we are, but we just don’t have enough room.”

“I want a bigger kitchen, but there isn’t enough room to make it as big as we want.”

Sound familiar? If you’re looking to expand your home, a room addition project can add the space you need and save you from having to move out of the home you love. Our team of craftsmen and design partners can expand your home and create the spacious, beautiful spaces you need while delivering a comfortable, safe remodeling experience. We’ll help you fall in love with your home all over again.

Design-Build Home Additions

WrightWorks home additions, built to blend seamlessly with your home’s existing architecture. Experience the comfort of having more room to breathe, without sacrificing the charm and character of your existing home.

"One of our highest goals for a room addition, or any other remodel--is to make it seamless with your home's existing architecture. To achieve that takes great design and craftsmen experienced in a variety of home styles and architectural details. If we move something, or add something, I want it to look like it was always there."

Room Addition Design and Avoiding "The Box" Look

Whether you want to expand an existing room or add completely independent spaces, your room addition project will impact more than just your interior space. There are exterior architectural considerations as well, which must be part of your design planning. If you’ve ever seen a “box” addition, stuck on the side of a house with no rhyme or reason, then you know what the wrong kind of addition looks like.

Our goal for any addition project is to make it look seamless with the rest of your home.  It takes a little more planning and a lot more skill, but the result is an addition that not only adds space to your home, but adds to its architectural character as well.

Foundations--To Dig or not to Dig

If you’re expanding the footprint of your home, then a crawlspace or basement foundation will be part of the scope of work for your project. However, there are other ways to expand your living space that may not require digging up your yard.

First option: Going up. If your home’s foundation will support it, adding second floor spaces over your existing footprint can be an efficient way to create en suite, bedroom, or bath additions.

Another option: capturing under-used outdoor space. If there are existing outdoor spaces under roof at your home (screened porch, patio, sunroom, garage, etc.), chances are good all or part of them can be converted into finished interior space.
